What does working as a Microsoft Data Engineer involve? We are wizards who turn data into knowledge. We work as consultants for various clients (and sectors) – partly on-site/partly from home – to assist them with Microsoft data solutions. Our credo is to empower every professional to make the best data-driven decision. Transforming data into usable knowledge is something you have right at your fingertips.
You will concentrate on what we call the back end of Business Intelligence:
You will be using Microsoft data services on-premise or in Azure, or a combination of both. Understanding the front end of BI is important. So, in due course, you will also get experience in reporting and visualising in Power BI.
Project-based or long-term assignments, all options are on the table. Depending on the assignment, you may be working on your own or in a team, taking care of the project management yourself or not. Participating in pre-sales is also a possibility. The trump cards of this job are variety and continuous learning through experience.
But don’t worry.
The roles within assignments and their complexity will be tailored to you: sufficiently challenging for learning and not over your head. If you demonstrate a keenness to learn, independence and initiative, you will be absolutely fine. Don’t forget that you have a team of helpful Koherians standing behind you who will be happy to help you and facilitate your development.
Knowledge of Power BI would be a bonus.
Good basic understanding of general data warehousing and modelling principles (Kimball)
Fluency in Dutch and English is a must, and fluency in French would be a bonus.
We zijn een klein team van 45 mensen, allemaal geïnteresseerd in Microsoft en allemaal in gegevens. Leuk en gezellig, we kennen elkaar en geven meer om elkaar dan alleen de stijl van T-SQL schrijven.
We werken voor kleine en grote klanten voornamelijk in Vlaanderen en Brussel, deels remote, deels onsite. Variatie in projecten en opdrachten is de reden waarom we voor consultants kiezen. We leren het best al doende. Onze klanten brengen ons bedrijfsexpertise, wij brengen hen technische expertise.
Samen gaan we voor topklasse database setups en data inzichten, on prem en/of in de Azure cloud.
Bovenop de wilde ontwikkelingen in dataland blijven, dat is waarom we bij elkaar blijven. Groeien in expertise en op de hoogte blijven van alles wat nieuw is, is volgens ons niet iets wat je alleen kunt doen. Als gold partner van Microsoft krijgen we coole vroege releases en testmogelijkheden voordat ze onze klanten bereiken.
